FAQ

Q: What will my dogs first day be like?

A: When you bring your dog in for the first time, you will be greeted by a staff member who will ask about allergies, temperament, medical concerns etc. This will also give you a chance to ask any questions of your own. Once you leave, your dog will be introduced to a few more staff members and then one other dog (typically out in the yard), and then another and another as we get to know your dog and create a pack of friends for them. We have many play groups at any given time in the building based on size, age, temperament, play style etc. Be sure to follow our Facebook and Instagram (@WHOZAGOODDOG) for a first day picture!

Q: How do dogs spend their days at Whozagooddog?

A: Daycare dogs spend their day in a secure room with couches and play structures, under close supervision of our knowledgeable staff. Each room (including our outdoor space) has a water bowl and plenty of space for play. If your dog is booked in the individual/small group category, they’ll have a room to themselves or with one or two friends they get along with. Outdoor time is coordinated so that each group spends time outside every hour. Our outdoor space holds a variety of play structures and pools (in the summer), with plenty of shady and sunny spots to hangout. Throughout the day, staff members keep dogs engaged with toys, bubbles, cuddle time and more! You also have the option to add on an enrichment activity (ex: a one on one puzzle game) and/or a walk for an extra $5 each. If you choose to bring a lunch, your dog will be given space to eat alone to prevent distraction and food aggression.

Q: My dog is boarding, where will they sleep? Will someone stay with them overnight?

A: We typically keep boarding dogs in daycare rooms overnight, where they’ll have plenty of couches and beds to choose from, as well as access to fresh water. We also have crates available by request. Dogs board with us every night, so there will always be a buddy to keep your dog company. A staff member stays with boarding dogs overnight to ensure safety.

Q: Can I stay with my dog for part of their stay?

A: We don’t allow pawrents into play rooms for both your safety, and the safety of the dogs staying with us. You are welcome to come see our facility weekdays from 8am-3pm, where you will be able to take a peek at some of the rooms via our security cameras. You can also check out our Facebook or Instagram  (@WHOZAGOODDOG) for pictures of our facility in action!

Q: Do you accept Bully breeds? What about tiny Chihuahuas? Great Danes?

A: We accept all breeds! Our primary concern when creating playgroups is size, age and playstyle, so dogs can socialize safely with confidence.

Q: My dog has some behavioral issues are they still welcome?

A: Yes! Our staff are well trained in, and have vast experience with handling dogs with all sorts of behavioral issues including aggression of all kinds. When creating a profile on Gingr (https://whozagooddog.portal.gingrapp.com), you’re able to note any behavioral issues in detail. If your dog reacts aggressively to other dogs, it’s best to book them in Individual/Smaller Group daycare. If your dog reacts aggressively towards people, please bring them into daycare with a muzzle. Our staff work hard to provide a safe and comfortable stay for every dog, and are happy to accommodate special requests with due notice.

Q: What do I bring?

A: If you plan to bring a lunch, please be sure to label it with your dogs first and last name, as well as any necessary feeding instructions (ex: add water, use a slow feeder etc). We have our own feeding bowls, including slow feeders. Please bring a muzzle if needed. We’ve got everything else!

If your dog is boarding with us, please pack enough food for your dog’s stay, along with feeding instructions (labeled with your dogs first and last name) and any necessary medication. You are welcome to bring their bed or crate, but we have plenty here.
